Another toroidal engine is the one made by this manufacturer around 1912-13, with a Beck-like theory.
"Esselbe Toroidal"
-To the right we can see the carburetor, the magneto and the accessory box.
-He also made a rotary radial engine at the same time. It had intake ports at the base of the cylinder like the current 2-stroke engines.
"Esselbé rotary"
-In a later information we see that the Esselbe name is accented in the last letter: Esselbé.
-The seven-cylinder rotary gave 65 hp at 1,250 rpm.
"Esselbe frame-side view"
-The base of the cylinders was octagonal (heptagonal) and they held the cylinders inside them. It had a Bosch magneto.
From Appendix A7/6: Below we show a new more detailed photograph of the toroidal motor mentioned in the main text, and below that one an outline of the inner part.

From Appendix 9: New photo of the radial-rotary Esselbe engine, somewhat better detailed.
