This is the US Engineering Division belonging to US Air Service at McCook Field Air Force Base, Dayton, OH. (see US Air
Service).

-Two projects are known, the W-1 from 1920 that gave 700 hp at 1,700 rpm, and 750 hp at 1,800 rpm. In 1923, the W-1A was installed on a Galloway DB-1.

-It had a displacement of 2778'66 cu. in. with 12 cylinders in W.

-The W-2 from 1921 gave 1,000 hp at 1,400 rpm, with 4,480 cu. in. and 18 cylinders in W.
