The Dorman Company in Stafford built an eight-cylinder V-engine with the V at 90°.
"Dorman"
-It gave 80 hp at 1,300 rpm. Only the cylinders were cooled, and the upper parts of the cylinder heads were not.
-The exhausts were free to the outside without channeling.
-At the end of the piston work stroke it uncovered some ports that helped to empty the cylinder in the exhaust phase.
-These holes were known as auxiliary exhaust ports.
