A Diesel engine with horizontally-opposed cylinders for airplanes was built in the factory in Kiel. Because the engines were very flat, they could be installed inside the wings.
-Deutsche Werke Aktiengesellshaft was also known as DEWAG.

-At the Dewag factory in Hamelin, they also built an aeronautical engine, where they used the term "Back Pressure" for its special device by which it was distinguished. The argument was to obtain greater power and lower fuel consumption by using the energy of the exhaust gases for pushing back the piston. This is somewhat unclear at the moment due to lack of information.
