-It is an inverted, air-cooled, in-line, four-cylinder engine.
-Very special in this type of engines is the addition of a small but effective fan to force the cooling on the ground. It is driven by mechanical transmission.

-These engines were built in 1932. They are the IV-D that gave 60 hp with direct crankshaft-to-propeller output, and the IV-G giving. Both had 214 cu. in. of displacement.
-The 90/100 hp Dragon engine had another companion, the Dragon without gear.
-The engines were offered with direct output or reducing gear. They were the Dragon Type IV-D and Dragon Type IV-G. The first giving 65 hp and the latter 90/100 hp.
