CARR PRECISION is an engine manufacturer that used Volkswagen engines to make "half engines" known as "1/2 VW".
-The first engine was made in 1974 and had two versions: one keeping the whole central crankcase and another with a cut-down crankcase.
"Carr, cut-down crankcase"
"Carr, full-crankcase"
-Later, Carr Precision sold its products and rights to "Great Plains Aircraft".
From appendix A2/6: Before moving the company into the orbit of Great Plains, it already had the half VW, but cut-down from the central crankcase as illustrated below where we have a good view of the motor.
