During WWII the war effort Cadillac turned to the construction of tanks and military vehicles, highlighting the M-3, M-5, M-8, M-19, M-24 and M-41.

-But not less important was the production of aircraft engine parts, particularly for Allison that also belonged to the GM group.

-These Alison engines were mainly used by the P-40, P-38 Lightning and P-51 Mustangs.

-The parts made by Cadillac were: crankshafts, gear, connecting rods and bolts, camshafts and supercharger rotors.

From Appendix 10: During World War II it was dedicated to the construction of engine parts for constructors like Allison.

-The ad below presents the components of the engines that were built at Cadillac. No complete engines like Chevrolet which was also part of GM.

-As we can see, they were mainly steel parts, such as the crankshaft, camshafts, connecting rods, gear, etc.

-Cylinder blocks, crankcase, beds, and access covers were more typical of the main brand's cast. Although many more companies could intervene in the war effort.
