For a period, Armstrong-Siddeley and Bristol Engines worked together keeping their identities, but their products came out with the name of Bristol-Siddeley Engines Ltd (BSEL) (not to be confused with Israeli BSEL).

-In an ad that appeared in a French publication we see several curiosities. First Bristol's and Siddeley's relationship together. Secondly, we see the "Bloodhound" cruising without "boosters", and the "Thor" running. And then a curious photograph in mid-flight where the intake is illuminated by inner combustion.

-In 1961, Bristol-Siddeley Engines absorbed DeHavilland and Blackburn Engines. As already mentioned, Bristol and Armstrong Siddeley contributed a large range of engines. In this period appeared the new Olympus and Pegasus engines for the Concorde and the Harrier.

-In the operation of the four adjustable nozzles, two of them are guiding the front fan air and the two rear ones are guiding the gases coming from the combustion chamber.

-These four "jets" are directed in unison toward the ground for hovering. At the ground slightly raised forward for going backwards in stationary, and an infinite range of positions from downward to horizontal position, for maneuvering, climbing sharply, and finally behaving like a conventional aircraft.

-Directing "bleeding" air coming from the engine towards several nozzles on the tail and on the wing tips equilibrium is maintained.

-Most engines continued such as the Viper, Sapphire, Orpheus, etc.

-Finally, in 1966, Bristol-Siddeley Engines Ltd was acquired by Rolls-Royce.

-From appendix 10: The small Bristol Siddeley turbine for target aircraft in the 1960's, model 347, has a photo in the main text. Now we include a diagram for better understanding.

-It had little power, at most 140 lbf.
