This company was founded by Jean Bertin in 1956. Trained in a polytechnic in the aviation branch, he entered Snecma since its founding at the end of WWII until 1956, when he created his own company, "Bertin et Cie" to develop his projects and patents.

-In the main text we showed the "Ludion", a one-man air-vehicle, powered by two small rocket engines with "Bertin boosters", which are actually two Venturi shaped horns, based on the Bernoulli principle, with steering devices (little wings).

-We know the air cushion train, and that there were several models (ACV = Air Cushion Vehicle) with which high speeds were achieved.

-One Aerotrain model, which was its French name, the 022, reached the world speed record of 422 Km/hr. It achieved this with the use of aircraft engines.

-Regarding compound engines with complex devices to achieve special flight operations like VTOL or STOL, Bertin et Cie. made its aircraft "Aladin 1" and "Aladin 2".

-They also made a civilian version of this STOL project as we show in the illustration below.

-The blower wing system for achieving the STOL effect is called "Variflux". The engine was a GE CJ-610.

-The Aladin 02 scale model was discovered at the 2013 Retro-Barcelona, shown by a French exhibiter, and for the author of this A-Z publication this was an important discovery.

-Not for the plane itself, which is similar to Bae 146 by the way, but for the M45H (RR/Snecma) engine's outlet nozzles to obtain STOL qualities.
