Inventor of an articulated rod system that is able to vary the compression ratio to compensate for power losses at high altitudes.
-Until now we had the Domblanc engine that could do this but using a different system. The Damblanc engine was designed by Clerget, also with an eccentric and rotating connecting-rod head so that the rod-piston assembly could go up and down, increasing or decreasing the volume of the combustion chamber.

-Andreau obtains the same effect with a mechanism like the following:

-It is a question of breaking the alignment of the rod so that with forming a greater or smaller angle the assembly lengthens or shortens.
-This way we can see the loop that creates the connection point mechanism in the figure below.

-An engine called "Differential Stroke Engine", of which information has been requested from the NASM with reference Doc. (BA-027800-01).
