"Società Aeronautica Italiana Ingeniero A. Ambrosini e Cia." in Milan was founded in 1934, dedicated to the construction of aircraft. As from WWII they developed two piston engines for light aircraft. (see SAI Ambrosini).
-The P-25 had two horizontally opposed cylinders giving 22 CV at 3,000 rpm, and was widely used in Italian aircraft as Alaparma AM-11 or Partenavia P-53.
-The P-70 model had no practical applications. It was a four-cylinder horizontal-opposed engine giving 75 hp at 2,500 rpm. Both had dual ignition.
-From appendix 9: The author got hold of a new picture of an application of this little engine of which was mentioned in the main text that there existed only one single device.
"Installation in a Canguro glider"
The little Ambrosini P-25, a two-cylinder, horizontally-opposed engine developed 22 CV. With this engine they avoided the glider takeoff process by winch or towing.
