Actually it was the "Aeronautical Corporation of Great Britain Ltd." (AERONCO) founded in 1936, which acquired the license to build the E-113C engine that gave 36 hp at 2400 rpm and 40 hp at 2540 rpm.
-They commissioned the construction to JAP (see Aeronca-JAP) of this engine but with the addition of dual ignition as the original American one had single ignition.
-This engine was used extensively in light aircraft of that time.
