Allen Von Behren was the owner of the Von Behren Manufacturing Co. of Evansville, Indiana.

-In 1938, he developed a 40 HP, 2400 rpm, horizontally-opposed, twin-cylinder engine, which he continued to manufacture until 1942. It had single ignition.

-This engine, designed and built in Indiana by Von Behren Mfg. in 1938, was known as the "Air Horse."
