An unknown aircraft engine brand appears in a 1908 publication, translated into Spanish and titled "Aviation."
- It is associated with a group of other engines such as the Aster, Ballot, Gobrón, Anzani, and finally Vinot et Deguingand itself, referring primarily to their generally very high power-to-weight ratio.
- For example, the 30 hp Ballot weighed 150 kg, which is 5 to 1.
- The same as the Vinot y Deguingand, which weighed 200 kg for a 40 hp engine, also 5 to 1. Consider that until not long ago, with iron blocks the ratio was as high as 1:1, and with lightweight aluminum parts, the ratio was lower.
From Appendix 11: Vinot Deguingand was an automobile manufacturer, and apparently had something to do with autogyro and seaplanes. It will be investigated.
