Villiers engines were manufactured by Villiers-Hay Development Ltd., a name by which they were known as well.

“Villiers-Hay”
-Before the Maya I, the Maya was manufactured, although with the same 130 hp at 2,600 rpm.
-A characteristic of these engines was that they had two camshafts, one on each side of the crankcase.
-On one side, they controlled the exhaust valves and on the other side, the intake valves. As can be seen in the below illustrations.

-From the Villiers Maya I engine, slightly modified by Hay, it was adapted to the Miles M-11B.
