These engines are built by William L. Velie Motors Corp. in Moline, IL. Also produced as Lambert-Velie.

-They have five fixed radial cylinders, and power outputs between 55 and 65 HP.

-Velie engines known as the 90 HP Scarab Junior, the 125 HP, or the 145 HP, 165 HP, and 185 HP Scarab Super have been built.

-Also known as the Velie 165 A, B, E, AE, or D3. And also as the SS50 or 50A.
