Franco Tosi (see), from Legnano, near Milan, built engines and various machinery, including large naval engines.
-He began in aviation by building Issotta Fraschini IF engines, V4-B models.
-He later made his own engines, such as the V-12 shown below, with 400 hp, which would reach 440 hp at 1,600 rpm and 500 hp at 1,700 rpm.

-The one made under license from the Isotta Fraschini V4B is also mentioned. An illustration of this engine has been located on a historical page.
