Shimadzu was a Japanese builder of French Gnome engines under license for that country. Around the time of WWI.
From Appendix 7: (Also written as Shimatzu or Shimazu). This company made the 9-cylinder 80 CV Le-Rhones.
-Shimadzu also made the Anzani air-cooled, fan-shaped, three-cylinder engine that gave 25 CV. (1911).
