Joe Schubeck made his Stage II engine based on a Chrysler V8.

From Appendix 6: The engine this brand adapts for aviation is based on the 473 cubic inch Chrysler V8 automobile engine.

-Joe Schubeck of the Camarillo Airport, in California, modifies and adapts it for aeronautical use until he gets 800 HP.

-Known as the Stage II, it has adapted reduction gear, double ignition, and a turbocharger. The non-supercharged model gives 450 HP of continuous power.

-Tests have also been done with methanol. Below we see a photo of this beautiful engine.
