The “Socièté de Construction et d’Exploitation de Materiels et Moteurs” resumed the manufacture of CMB engines, the previous “Béarn” Engine Construction Company shortly after WWII, in 1947.

Scemm 6D Engine

-The 6D model gave 330 HP and the 6D-13 from the following year gave 425 HP. In total about 60 of these engines were made.

-At the Brussels Museum, in the engine restoration section, I was able to find a SCEMM 12V engine made under Hispano-Suiza license.

-It is a cannon engine, since it has installed onw as we can see because the gun outlet appears in front of the propeller plate and we can also see the ammunition drum between the “V”.
