Sandpiper Aire Inc. has found in the Honda “Goldwing” engine an important source to create its adaptations for sports aviation without essentially altering the engine.

-The models undergoing conversion are those of the 1000, thus the Honda 1000 becomes the Sandpiper 1000, giving 83 HP and 268 lb of weight.

-The Sandpiper 1200, giving 100 HP, for the same weight. The output transmission is used to couple the propeller directly through a suitable joint.
