Sabre (Portugal?) engine specifications

In a brochure that has reached us, written in Portuguese, the F-25 model “Sabre” engine is offered.

-Possibly the engine is made by a manufacturer and the name is that of the model. Even if the attribution to Brazil or Portugal is not correct, information about it will continue to be sought.

-On the engine we do have more information. First, the entire appearance is that of an adapted Volkswagen engine, although the rocker box covers are misleading.

-With direct output for the propeller, the normal version gives 100 HP at 3,200 rpm and the turbocharged version (F-25T) reaches 145 HP.

-It has a capacity of 2,500 cc and the compression ratio is 8:1, so it requires Avgas 100 LL and 96 NO at least.

-The Sabre is assigned 2,165 cc of displacement in other documentation. It has double ignition.
