Rhein-Flugzeugbau GmbH built the RFB Fan Pod SG85 that had to incorporate small engines intended to propel motorsailers.

-The prototype was tested on a Czech Blanik glider.

-It were Fitchel & Sachs Wankel type engines, the KM914/2 models, two of them mounted in tandem.
