The Requa-Coles Co., was established on 49th Street in New York and in 1909 it offered its horizontally-opposed 2-cylinder boxer engine.
-As the engines were designed by Hugo C. Gibson, they were sometimes known as Requa-Gibson since he was the patent holder.
-The engine was known as "Type 90" and gave 50 HP of power at 2,500 rpm. Like most of the engines of the time, it had a Bosch magneto of German origin,
-The crankshaft was made of chrome-molybdenum steel from Krupp.
