Rathel Electric, of Daleville, Indiana, built two aviation engines, one with four opposed horizontal cylinders that gave about 70 HP. It was the year 1929.
-The other engine was a 50 HP, air-cooled inline 4-cylinder engine. Both used countless Chevrolet car parts.
-In the year 1929, as has been said, Rathel Electric of Daleville in Indiana made an experimental engine for aviation using Chevrolet automobile components.
-The cylinders were individually machined and the engine gave about 50 HP at 2,100 rpm.
