According to some information the company was founded in 1928. Other information indicates that it operated between 1936 and 1948 and was called "Poyer Aircraft Engine Co.".

Poyer 3-40
“Poyer 3-40”

Poyer made two models of 3-cylinder radials, both with a displacement of 142 cu. in. The 3-40 gave 40 hp and the 3-50 gave 50 hp. The latter rotating at 2,750 rpm.

At the USNA there is an entry of Poyer engine documentation, in the period 1944-48 with an incomplete reference -? - / 452.8.

-We added a better view of the Poyer 3-40. We now know that the 3-50 is identical to the 3-40 but with the compression ratio increased to 6.5 to 1.
