Papin and Rouilly made an artifact consisting of a powertrain with a balanced rotating assembly that rotated around a float and pilot seat.
"Papin's Gyropter"
-The engine, on one side, drove a compressor whose air was directed through the interior of a blade to its oriented end to produce the rotation by reaction.
“Drawing of Papin's device”
-There is no evidence that it rose from the surface. The protection of the crew member seems scarce, in addition the basket where it was installed was made of wicker.
From Appendix 6: New illustration that allows us to see this bizarre machine in a little more detail. It was not based on a helicopter but on a marple or Ibis seed.
“Papin's device”
-The entire main body rotated, with the pilot in the upper central part that maintained its position thanks to an anti-torque jet.

“Real test of the Papin”
Below we show new views of this flying artifact, with which to discern its operation, along with those that appeared in the main text.
"The Papin-Rouilly was single-bladed"
“Another front view of Papin and Rouilly's machine”
-Single bladed propellers have been seen on rare occasions in real aircraft -p.e. the Bo-103 helicopter- although they are widely used in model speed planes, due to their small size and high rotation rate.
