It was the predecessor of Bayerische Motoren- und Flugzeugwerke G.m.b.H. In 1912 it changed its name.

-In 1911 an engine manufactured by Nürnberger was installed on a BMF W, monoplane with closed cabin. The engine was a 7-cylinder radial.
