Also known as TsNII-Mash. (Ts is Tsentralniy = Central) (NII is Nauchno Issledovatelskiy Institut = Scientific and Research Institute).

-As such, this organization experiments with unusual materials and experimental propulsion systems.

-For example, the RDMT-0.4X is a low thrust rocket engine and its main characteristic is to use a Niobium alloy combustion chamber.

-The RDMT-0.8 is a thruster running on Nitrogen and Helium, cold gas and low thrust. It is used in the Kosmos satellites.

-RDMT-100 is a 10 Kgf control thruster used in the Salyut, Mir, Soyuz T, Progress, Kosmos, etc.

“TAL-100”

-The TAL-100 known as D-100 also uses the ionic system based on electricity with xenon gas. The small thrust varies between 8 and 34 mN.

-The RDMT-12 is another 1 Kgf thruster for the Almaz, Kvant, Kristall, Spektr and Priroda vehicles and ships (It was the predecessor of the RDMT-400 that was used in the Isayev 17D58E).

-Another engine is the RDMT-135 that delivers 14 Kgf. It uses classic fuels N2O4/UDMH for the Salyut, Mir, Soyuz, Progress and Kosmos.

-Powerful motors such as the R-56 Block A that delivers 450,000 Kgf are also known to be used by the ICBM Polyblock, using nitric acid and kerosene.

-The R-56 Block B gives 80,000 Kgf, and is used in the 2nd stage of the above mentioned missile.

-And many other products, but not included here, only a few indications of the work that is carried out at NII are presented.
