It was A.F. Mozhaiski. The airplane of his own design also had a steam engine designed by himself and that consisted of two vertical machines, one with a smaller cylinder to give 10 CV and a larger one for 20 CV.

-The critical components were made of forged steel, and to reduce weight the crankshafts were hollow. Kerosene was used as fuel. Its weight was exceptionally light.
