The Ministry of International Trade & Industry, Tokyo promoted a turbofan project known as the “Civil Twin Spool Turbofan”.

-This was around 1969 and it was estimated to deliver 16,000 lbf of thrust. The fan, as in most of the current engines, was a front one.
