Mr. Félix Millet is credited with filing a patent for a rotary engine in 1888, perhaps the first of its kind.

-This rotary engine with five cylinders was placed on a rear wheel of a bicycle exhibited at the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1889 (that of the Eiffel Tower), and which according to the press "made a demonstration tour from Paris to Bordeaux and back."

From Appendix 6: Elsewhere, Felix Millet appears in the main text as the author of a pioneering radial engine installed on a bicycle.

-It was 1888, but it is now clear that the engine was running on steam.

-It only gave 0.7 CV and reached 34 km/hr. Actually, this data would be obtained with an improved model from 1896.

-It seems that the chimney of the boiler serves as a frame for the seat. The motor is inserted inside the wheel, spinning with it.

-The radial engine is trendy with the invention of the brothers Louis and Laurent Seguín in France as well.
