MALANDER UNIVERSITY (MDU) engine specifications

Mälardalen University does project developments to reduce pollution, fuel consumption, etc. Of particular note is a turbofan engine project for the future developed by Professor Konstantinos (of Greek origin).

-It has a double compressor and an intercooler or heat exchanger between them to cool the air and increase its density before entering the second compressor. This requires an air path that is placed in the inclined bypass duct. The idea is interesting.

-In a way, it is the philosophy of large V12 engines with intercoolers, and its principle seems to be the same.

-It has a conglomerate of international companies in the sector supporting the study.
