Lloyd in Germany made a 2-stroke, inline, twin-cylinder engine.
-The engine displaced 400 cc to deliver 22 CV at 5,500 rpm.
“Lloyd engine in cowling”
-It was designated LS400, and it had low compression, 6 to 1. It consumed a mixture of oil and gasoline in the proportion of 2.5 cc of oil per liter of gasoline.
“Two Lloyd engines on Blanik”
-They were used on ULMs like the “Soarmaster” or on the “Blanik L-13” motor-glider with two engines installed on the wings.
From Appendix 9: The Lloyd LS-400 engine has finally been found in a German museum, which appears in the main text in cowlings (two engines).
“Two images of the Lloyd LS-400”
-It appears with a common muffler for both cylinders. As it looks, the exhaust muffler goes inside the wing, but its size and shape is inconceivable.
