Lambert France made a horizontally-opposed, four-cylinder engine or "Flat-Four" as these engines are sometimes called. (Flat-Twin for two-cylinder).
“French Lambert engine”
-Made within the Society "Le Materiel Aeronautique" directed by M. Level and with the cooperation of M. Leduc.
-It gave 60 CV with side valves and “L” chambers.
“Top view”
-Th engine had two rear magnetos for double ignition and the fuel pump was just below the back cover of the accessory box.
“Side view”
-The carburetor is situated in the lower part of the crankcase, being the oil itself that heats the mixture that flows to the cylinders in order to avoid icing.
-Before the gasoline enters into the carburetor, it goes through an attached filter, of the crystal glass type.
-The weight is 60 Kg. For a consumption of 15 liters per hour.
