Together with Wesfalia-based Stark Motoren (Stamo), Karl Pieper modified the 45hp 4-cylinder VW to offer the 70hp MS-1500 “Stamo”.

-The MS-1500-1 could run on lower octane gasoline and the MS-1500-2 was equipped with an electric starter and generator.

-The VW-based Stamo 1000 with 2400cc was a horizontally-opposed four-cylinder engine that gave 70hp.

-Another adapted engine was a BMW motorcycle twin cylinder with multiple belt reduction. From the year 1982.
