Raytheon and Lockheed Martin join together for the Javelin program, specifically the ground-to-ground missile (and air in case of targets such as helicopters), to be launched by the infantry against armored vehicles, casemates, etc.

-The Javelin FGM-148 is a substitute for the famous Milan. It has two rocket engines, one for each stage. The first launch takes the missile from the launch tube, without major setbacks that destabilize the soldier. Once outside, the second engine starts and puts the missile on course to the target. It uses solid fuels.
