In 1918 the New Britain Machine Company in Connecticut (see) built an 18-cylinder rotary radial engine designed by G.O. Hodge. It gave 320 HP at 2,000 rpm and it had 905 cubic inches of displacement. This engine had Zenith carburetors and Bosch magnetos.
