Herreshoff is a builder of American engines from around 1910, and was established in New York.

-They built the eight-cylinder V-engine that we can see in the pictures below with angle  of 90 degrees between cylinder banks. It had a bulky intake manifold and a carburetor "hanging" from the collector.
