Otto Hermann made an experimental engine (similar to the concept of Mawen -ver-) consisting of a large annular surround ring of the entire rotating assembly.

-In that ring were the intake and exhaust valves, working according to the four-stroke cycle. Its inventor was Otto Hermann.
