Harbin is a manufacturer of turbine engines. During its first period are standing out  the WP-2 (RD-45) with almost 5,000 lbf of thrust, the WP-5 (VK1-F) with 7,500 lbf and the WP-5A (VK1-A) of 6,000 lbf.

-Later the WJ-5 turboprop with 3,100 SHP, used on the Harbin PS-5, SH-5, XAC-Y7 and the Y-14, transport.

-Another Harbin engine, the WZ-8 (French license for the Turbomeca Arriel) is a turboshaft of 700 SHP, and is mounted on Chengdou helicopters.
