Around 1861, Paul Haenlein made a device in Austria, based on a recent work by Lenoir. In Vienna it is decided to move from the experiment to reality, and in 1872, a dirigible with a gas engine, makes propelled flights.

-The engine only gave 6/10 CV and weighed 233 Kgs, not including the 110 kg radiator and the water with a weight of 75 Kg
-The airship was inflated with lighting gas of little upward force. Besides the engine operated with the same balloon gas.
