In 1918, Guy Motor Ltd. from Wolverhampton received an order to manufacture 1,000 ABC Dragonfly MK1 engines, not giving him time to deliver any by the end of the war.

-The company was founded by Sidney Guy in 1914, when he left Sunbeam where he worked.

-In 1918 he got an order for 12 ABC Wasp engines and an experimental Dragonfly. Later he would receive an order for 600 more.

-He made the first one in 24 days being congratulated officially for it. But soon thereafter WWI ended.

-At the same time he was developing a V-12, which was canceled the same year.
