The engines were manufactured by Grob Aerospace in Tussenhausen-Mattsies.

-Only one basic motor is known, the Grob 2500 with two variants, the E-1 and D-1 depending on whether the ignition was single or double. The powers are 87 CV at 3,000 rpm and 95 CV at 3,400 rpm.

-The production was carried out between 1985 and 1990. The engines had four horizontally-opposed cylinders, and they were based on the VW Transporter vehicle.

-Initially the company was known as "Grob Luft und Raumfhart".
