From Appendix 6: William W. Gibson was a Scottish emigrant who has the honor of having built Canada's first aviation engine.
-It was a four-stroke, four-cylinder engine of his own design around the year 1905. In fact, its operation was not very satisfactory.

-The second engine was totally different. It was a two-stroke, 6-cylinder inline engine, with three carburetors.
“The 6-cylinder Gibson”
-The installation of this engine on board was very curious: in front a pull propeller and at the rear a pusher of smaller pitch and with a reduction of 1: 2 rotating in the opposite direction of the other propeller.
-It was an air-cooled, 6-cylinder, inline engine with tree carburetors.
