-It was designated under reference J-55-F.F-1 by the USAF and cataloged as a light turbine because of its dimensions of 79 inches long and 15.75 inches in diameter. It weighed only 300 lbs in running order.

-The maximum thrust is 770 lbs at 28,200 rpm.

-The continuous 700 lbs at 26,800 rpm and the idle of 350 lbs at 19,800 rpm.

-It was destined for directed projectiles and although its program was related to the Ryan XQ-2, no other application is known.

-It had an axial compressor and a one-stage turbine.
