The company Ferry Inc. in California made a radial engine of eight cylinders but with double eccentric or cams instead of the crankshaft.
"Ferry engine without crankshaft"
-As we see in the engine cut-out, it shows a cam lobe and the follower roller of the upper cylinder, with a short connecting rod.
-In turn, all the connecting rods are connected by braces that makes the rollers always keep in contact with the cams.
-In this project there were engines with four, eight, twelve and sixteen cylinders, and powers from 280 to 1,120 hp
