He was the designer of the 24-cylinder MB-100 X-engine, a result of two Klimov M-103 (VK-103) engines joined by their bases. It gave 3,200 CV and was tested in 1945. The engine measured almost two meters in diameter.

-It is assumed that he also designed the MN-102 in 1944. The full name of this designer was Aleksei Mikailovich Dobrotvorskii.
