Located in the city of Detroit (Detroit Mfrs. Syndicate). Sometimes confused with Detroit Aero. In 1910, it built the 20-30 hp and 30-40 hp Aero engines designed by Fred Weinberg. The 20-30 hp engine had a displacement of 237.5 cu.in.

From Appendix 10: There is a constant confusion between "Detroit Airplane Co." and "Detroit Aeronautic Construction Co." and besides that the Detroit Airplane Co. was involved in the construction of the "Detroit Aero" engines.
