The one that has been perhaps the first pilotless plane-torpedo of the USA, the Bug, was a three-company-design: Dayton-Wright, Curtiss and Lawrence Sperry.
-It was commissioned by the government's "Aircraft Production Board".
-The engine was designed by Dayton-Wright, but the construction was carried out at DePalma Manufacturing Co.
"The Bug releases the wheel structure after takeoff"
-The first two cylinders are more separated than normal than the next two. As a curiosity.
